Horseback Expeditions and Packhorse Services
Explore our beautiful region on horseback with Ciro, who knows better than anyone the secrets of the surrounding mountains, forests and rivers, and will share them all with you on an adventurous horseback tour. Camp under the stars or stay in the homes of locals in their "refugios"; enjoy typical Chilean food (barbecued lamb); and taste the unique and delicious flavors Patagonia has to offer. Our visitors have the option to go on 1, 2, 3, 5, or 9 day tours in the region, between the nearest river to the Argentine border and back. Expeditions of 2 or more days will include tours of the places visited, accompanied by hiking, climbing, fishing, and more.
If you prefer to adventure on foot, we offer our packhorse services to carry your equipment to your destination. With this service, you won't have to worry about the weight of your equipment: we will bring it to you on horseback. Easy!
Short Tours
(1-3 Days)
> 1-day Circuit: Cochamó - Río Piedra
If you're only looking for a short adventure, we can take you to Río Piedra for a picnic lunch and hiking on the rocks of Río Piedra and Río Cochamó. The trip is 4 hours on horseback, 2 hours for lunch and hiking, 6 hours total.

Explore the La Junta Valley and visit the beautiful rivers (Río Piedra, Río Cochamó, Río Azul, Río Valverde), waterfalls, ancient forests and the stunning rock walls Trinidad and Arco Iris on our two day trip to La Junta.
> Circuito de 3 días: Cochamó - La Junta.
This tour takes the same route as the 2 day tour, but includes an extra day of adventure in the mountains with trekking, fishing, and exploring the wonders of the area. So much to do, you won't want to miss out!
Long Tours
(5-9 Days)

Take a beautiful trip throughout the Chilean Andes and see: La Junta, Lake Vidal (with a day of rest and exploration), and the Incredible Paso el León... get a glimpse of Argentina! From here Bariloche is an easy 2hr bus journey
> Circuito de 9 días: Cochamó - Lago Tagua-Tagua.
In our longest and most comprehensive circuit- Cochamó to Lake Tagua-Tagua- you will discover all the wonders and secrets of the region. The tour starts in Cochamó and visits La Junta, El Arco, Lake Vidal, Paso el León (Argentine border), Torrentoso, Río Manso, el Manso, and finally the beautiful and magestic Lake Tagua-Tagua. With this tour you will enjoy all the sites the region has to offer, embarking on the adventure of a lifetime.
Pack Horses
(60 kilos max.)
Our pack horses will carry your equipment to your desired destination: up to 60kg of food, equipment, and anything else that can be securely fastened to the horse. Enjoy your trip up to La Junta and more without the weight of your pack slowing you down.
Your things will be bound to the mount on the horse's back and covered with a tarpaulin to protect them from rain and slippage, all under the expert eye of Ciro, who has spent over 15 years horsepacking.
